NOVEMBER BRINGS CHANGE IN SHAREHOLDINGS OF AUCKLAND CRANES LTD
Last week Group Managing Director Albert Smith alongside Director Tony Gibson announced a change in shareholdings of Auckland and Waikato Cranes.
“After a long and successful history of working in and sharing ownership of the business Tony Gibson has decided to resign as director of the company and sell his remaining shareholding,” Albert said.
Tony has made the decision to sell his remaining shares to Albert. This means that Albert has now become 100% shareholder of Auckland Cranes Ltd which also incorporates the Waikato Cranes business.
As part of the announcement last week, Tony explained, “I am looking forward to focusing on my farming business and spending some time on my own personal interests outside the crane industry.”
Tony intends to remain a close ally of the company in an advisory capacity.
Auckland Cranes Chief Executive Officer, Philip Gedye also took this opportunity to reassure customers, employees and other business partners that through this new exciting development, Auckland and Waikato Cranes will continue to offer the same excellent service and that no significant changes are planned in the organisation structure or strategic direction of the business.
These exciting changes form part of a wider, ongoing generational transition and governance journey for Auckland Cranes’ parent company Smithbridge Group that was announced earlier this year.
